Wednesday....half way there

Sorry I didn't come back yesterday-I jibbed out and had Fish and Chips from Le Chip Shop...

However as the name of my blog suggests I do like to do a spot of gardening..I however still class myself as a  gardening virgin. Up until a month ago the only bit of gardening I had done was mowing the lawn and 'borrowing' some of my dads well planted pots (I also kept said plants alive). However I am now diving head first into gardening! You may think it is odd that I have decided to take up this hobby as the days get shorter and the frost is on its way, but best to be prepared for 2011 eh!?

First things first...
I have planted my sweet pea seeds and they are starting to pop their little green heads up through my Wilko peat free compost as they warm up on my spare bedroom windowsill!

My daffodil and tulip bulbs are in pots outside getting ready to poke out of the soil in early spring! (I HOPE!!!)

And finally....
I have parsley, coriander and sweet peppers growing on the kitchen windowsill! The coriander and parsley are doing well - however the peppers are no where to be seen...will give them another week...

Still very early days but I am confident that Feb and March will be busy months - it is in these months that I will be digging my vegetable patch and planning what lush things I want to grow and in turn cook!

The husband has just shown me the best clip I have ever seen on You Tube...if you like the apprentice you will LOVE this! Cassette Boy V The Bloody Apprentice

Guess what we've been talking about...

So I'm sat in my wonderfully vibrant PR office and the topic of blogging crops up! Just as I am logging on to see how many people have viewed my blog since last night...(not many in case you were wondering, I am living in a dream world hoping that millions of enthusiastic readers will stumble across it on a rainy day and tell me how amazing it is!!)

Now I can talk about this from both sides of the spectrum...As a PR wanting Bloggers to endorse my clients products/services and now as a blogger...Obviously in the looser sense of the term. I am still a newbie!

I enjoy reading people opinions and love the fact that we are no longer dictated to by the media to think their thoughts, instead we can create our own and let others know what we think. This citizen journalism 'fad' has come a long way!

So there we have my slightly intellectual thought of the day...
Now onto whats for dinner tonight...thinking of indulging in a lush prawn stirfry. Depending on how it looks and tastes will depend on whether I share the detail with you after eating!

First one...here goes

So...here we are...I am finally getting round to writing my thoughts down in a place where anyone and everyone can access them.
Bit daunting but somewhat liberating none the less.
A bit about me...I am a PR professional that absolutely loves all things communication. Be it face to face meetings or random ramblings on social media, my line of work means that I am able to target specific audiences with news of relevance that may influence and hopefully change behaviours (obv to favour my wonderful clients!)
So why, if I spend all day writing, do I want to sit down of an evening and tell you all my news?! Well that is I guess down to the fact that I enjoy getting things off my chest. Perhaps another KEY facts is that my husband has limited interest in gardening (he'll cut the lawn...) and despite showing lots of enthusiasm as I talk about my wonderful working day, he works in construction not PR, so when I witter on about how the changing media landscapes are making things tougher yet exciting or how bubbly the champagne was when we won 'that' piece of new business, he smiles politely and nods encouragingly but his beautiful blue eyes begin to glaze over! So I am hoping that you lot out there will listen and enjoy what I have to say without that glazed look!
Post One: Done!
Stay tuned kids...
